But private school starts this coming Monday.
Teachers, faculty and staff are decorating bulletin boards, organizing desks and finishing up lesson plans getting ready for the first day of school.
But with the struggling economy, the Principal at Saint Catherine of Sienna in Port Arthur says their enrollment has gone down.
"The economy is not as good as we'd like it to be and a lot of the students are having to go to different schools don't think they can afford to St. Catherine," said Haidee Todora, Principal at St. Catherine of Sienna.
