No, you aren’t seeing triple and it is not simply as my husband wrongly commented “Why is that woman in 3 different outfits on the cover?” It’s The Dahm Triplets! If you are like me you may have no knowledge of who The Dahm Triplets are so after a quick web search I found they were the second set of triplets to be in Playboy’s US magazine. Now older and with little girls of their own these blondes are bringing you 3,2,1 Get Your Body Back a DVD that is reminiscent of 1980s Fonda-esque workouts. There is a warm up that consists of some easy to follow cardio moves though they do involve a fair amount of jumping and impact. After the triplets lead the viewer through a 3 minute sculpting routine with very simple dumbbell moves. You are invited to continue on through the DVD lead in segments by each of the triplets. All in all you get three 10 minute workouts that you can mix and match. Now the DVD and the website seem to break each of the triplets segments into it’s own category but after watching I can honestly say I see no difference in the style of the three segments. They all seem rather the same like a cardio cheerleading, dance type workout with lunges and squats thrown in from time to time.
This DVD truly is a retro masterpiece from the crazy leotards to the leg warmers and the of course the moves. I personally did not enjoy the 80s and working out so this DVD was not for me as a motivator. But I really appreciated the fact that the triplets opted for something clean and wholesome like 80s revival to something steamy and sexy with short shorts like many other celebrities trying to pump out fitness videos. Throughout the DVD the triplets are noticeably working and out of breath –the workouts are definitely quick and effective for those who need to get back in shape and the jumping and bouncing provides some plyometric moves that boost the burn and cardio.
